2014 Corvette Stingray | Reverse Test Drive
Recently Chevrolet sponsored a series of test drives that allowed the 2014 Corvette Stingray to test 5 unique drivers on the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch. Now you might have 2 very important questions 1. Don’t you mean they tested the Corvette not the car tested them? And why do I care people go on test drives every day at car dealerships? Chevrolet monitored sensors attached to each of their bodies to record biometric data during the test. Heart rate, breathing and brain activity were all monitored and decoded in real time by a doctor in real time to demonstrate that the 2014 Stingray can actually affect you on emotional and physical levels.
Any Corvette driver will tell you they are happier when driving their Corvette, I recently experienced the thrill of driving the Stingray and it put a smile on my face for an entire week and I didn’t understand why until I saw the reverse test drive videos from Chevrolet. The reverse test drive videos disprove the preconceived notion of a car simply being a means to get groceries and run errands, if the right person and car are paired it is truly is a cause of joy.
The “influencers” that had the opportunity to find new roads included Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of the Gran Turismo franchise, an online fitness blogger named Kelly Olexa, Phillip Cooley, a Detroit restaurant owner, style consultant and blogger Terry McFly and Evan Orensten from Cool Hunting.
