2019 York Pride Parade

NewRoads Leads York Pride three years running!

It was just three years ago when the Town of Newmarket proudly supported bringing the York Pride Parade and Festival to our downtown Main Street and Riverwalk Commons. NewRoads was very happy to step up and support by leading the Parade. Today this event is One of Canada’s fastest growing regional Pride Week Festivals and Parade.



Building on two decades of powerful community engagement, education and celebration, York Pride is proud to be an inclusive, family-friendly Pride festival for all ages.

Parade officials confirmed over 30,000 in attendance and over 1000 participated in the Parade being the most colourful extravaganza that brings York Region together and shines a spotlight on 2SLGBTQ lives, culture, communities and creativity. The parade showcases the glitz and glam of our community featuring: Drag Queens, our Newest NewRoads 2019’s, vintage cars, colourful characters, community heroes and our amazing community partners the Highway 11 Cruisers.



The parade on Main Street started at the Ontario St intersection at 3pm, proceeded south ending at Water St, the entrance to Pride Fest 2019 where the party continued till 11pm.
NewRoads is where community support and customer enthusiasm matters and we are very proud to a part of what just might be the largest annual celebration in Newmarket!
