2nd Annual Race of Remembrance
We all know the importance and the significance of November 11th. We all know to take a moment of silence at 11:11 on the 11th day of the 11th month.
The fine people of Mazda UK also know the significance of this month and this past weekend they ran the second annual Race of Remembrance. This unique motorsport event takes place at the Anglesey circuit in North Wales. The race supports Mission Motorspots, which is a charity that uses motorsports to provide respite, rehabilitation, vocational support and training to those affected by military operations. This year 45 teams competed on the demanding 1,000 km Welsh circuit.
The cars are driven by everyone from professional drivers to wounded servicemen. Along with the race Mazda UK also debut the new MX-5 with a poignant poppy “Art Car” designed and created by Mission Motorsport.
