Simple Ways to Avoid Blind Spots

Countless accidents occur every year because a vehicle is in another driver’s blind spot. Fortunately, there are methods you can take to avoid blind spots and make yourself safer behind the wheel.

One thing you should do is make sure your rear view mirror allows you to see directly behind you. Many people make the mistake of tilting it so they can see the rear and side. However, this is not necessary since you already have side mirrors.

Next, lean all the way to the left side of your car, so you head is actually touching the window. This may look weird, but it is the best way to adjust your mirror. Move it so you can barely see your own vehicle. When you move back to a position straight-up, you won’t be able to see your car at all.

Finally, you’ll need to do the same to the other side-mirror. Lean to the right side, around where the centre console is. Then adjust the mirror the same way, so you can just make out your own vehicle.

Adjusting your mirrors this way will decrease your blind spots significantly and help to avoid any accidents in the future.
