Bad Driving Habits

Bad Driving Habits

Thousands of accidents occur every year because drivers are distracted and don’t bother focusing on the road ahead. Failure to pay attention while driving can be very dangerous which is why you should be aware of these bad driving habits.

Driving with food or drink: This can be dangerous for a number of reasons. Your hands could become slippery of the food, you could drop something and become distracted and/or you’ll also lose focus if you’re concentrating on finishing your meal.

Paying too much attention to your children: If you’re constantly looking back to see what your kids are doing you won’t have a lot of time to react to obstacles ahead of you on the road.

Playing with Onboard Electronics: Fiddling with the radio or your iPod removes your eyes from the road. Pull-over instead of adjusting your gadgets while you drive.

Daydreaming: Many people slip into auto-pilot when they drive and start thinking about other things besides the road.  Be concious of this and stay in the moment.
