Signs You Need New Tires

Warning signs that you need new tires

The winter months are often the toughest on your vehicle. The cold weather causes your car to work harder and wears out a lot of the parts as a result. One thing that definitely takes a beating are the tires, so read ahead for signs that you need a new pair.
One of the easiest things you can check is the sidewalls of the tires. If they are cracked, you could be developing a leak in them and need to get them changed as soon as possible. Similarly, bulges can also cause your tires to blow, so make sure to inspect for those as well.
If you notice that your vehicle is constantly vibrating, there may be a realignment issue. While the tires are rarely the root cause of this problem, an improper alignment will cause your tires to wear unevenly, meaning they need to be switched once your alignment issue has been fixed.
Finally, another thing you can test is the tread depth. For this, you can either take it to a mechanic or purchase a gauge that will tell you deep the tread is. A rule of the thumb is that it should never fall below 1/16 inches of depth.
