Celebration of Women Event & Women of Excellence Awards
We are back! It was amazing to host our very first in-person event at the NewRoads Performing Arts Centre. On March 9th, 2022 we got together with the Newmarket Chamber of Commerce for this years Celebration of Women Event & Women of Excellence Awards.
Our two incredible guest speakers were able to inspire and motivate our in-person and virtual guests with their stories. Grief Counsellor & End of Life Doula Julie Cryns graced us with her story of incredible strength and growth, while Candle Entrepreneur Shabi Monzavi made us believe anything is possible. It was truly amazing to be able to meet IRL and learn form their journeys.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to honour the women in our lives & in our community. We had the privilege of awarding our annual Women of Excellence Award to Emmy Kelly for the amazing work she does at Blue Door. With over 30 amazing women from our community nominated – we did not envy the judges & we are so proud of everyone! This year we worked with two local charities – the Women’s Center of York region & Girls Inc. of York Region. Both of these charities work with women and young girls in our communities & with your help we were able to Dontae just over $15,000.
