One of the most nerve-wracking things for a parent is when their child starts driving on their own. Fortunately, there are many apps available that will give you some peace of mind when your teen is on the road. Here are some of the best ones below.
 
“Safe Driver” is an application designed to track your teen’s driving from your smart phone. If your child goes over the speed limit or makes any other infractions, “Safe Driver” will notify you through your smart phone.
 
“Textbuster” is an app designed to stop your teen from texting when they’re in the vehicle. This app actually requires hardware to be installed inside the vehicle, so it can notify the phone to disable texting when the phone enters the vehicle. While this is somewhat expensive, it is effective and will keep your child safe.
 
Another app that will help prevent your teen from texting while driving is “DriveOFF.” This application can detect when your child begins to drive and will shut off texting, incoming calls and other apps until your teen has stopped at their destination.
