Does my car need an alignment?

Does my car need an alignment?

Wheel alignment is an important concept that can help to ensure your vehicle has quality handling and your tires do not wear unevenly. Proper wheel alignment means that the wheels are both perpendicular to the ground and parallel to each other. Read ahead to find out some of the things you can check to tell if your vehicle is properly aligned.

There are many signs which may indicate that your vehicle is out of alignment. If you are drifting to one side when you’re attempting to drive straight then there is a strong chance that you need a realignment. Other signs include driving straight with the steering wheel not centred and have a steering wheel that vibrates.

Your tires are another source that can help tell you whether you have a proper alignment or not. If your tires are wearing faster than normal than you could have an issue. A bigger sign is if there is uneven wear. This is a very good indication as the tires would wear evenly if they were both perpendicular to the ground and parallel to each other. You should take your vehicle in to get checked if you spot this problem.
