Coming Soon | Upcoming Car Technology
Car technology improves every year and in the next few years we might see things in vehicles we couldn’t imagine just ten years ago. Here are some of the biggest car technologies to look out for in the future.
Collision Avoidance Systems: The largest concern with vehicles is that they cause thousands of deaths every year. While cars are safer now than they’ve ever been, there’s a chance that collisions could be gone altogether. It should only be a matter of time until every car has to ability to stop themselves through laser-controlled collision avoidance systems.
Alternative Fuels: While we currently have renewable fuels with biodiesel and ethanol, there is a concern that we’re using our crops for fuel instead of food. However, electric cars should be the most popular in the upcoming years because they have zero direct emissions and can be recharged with solar or wind energy.
Self-Driving Vehicles: Although self-driving cars won’t be available anytime too soon, they’re already prototypes for these vehicles available. Google has already tested a self-driving vehicle in California and Nevada and it has yet to get into an accident in the first 300,000 miles. Having self-driving vehicles would help reduce accidents and create more efficient driving.
