Tribute dinner honouring Jim Alexander
 
Community Living Newmarket/Aurora District held its 11^th Annual Community Tribute Dinner honoring an individual who exemplifies a lifetime of excellence in community service.  This year’s 2013 Community Service Award recipient was Jim Alexander.
 
“Jim Alexander, owner of many Tim Horton’s restaurants, demonstrates his commitment to our organization through employing people we support with intellectual disabilities, and sponsored our yearly Tim Horton’s Spring Swing Golf Tournament.  He was a member of our Board of Directors, and continues to support our vision, a community where everyone belongs.
 
Jim firmly believes in giving back to the community.  His passion for volunteerism and generosity of spirit has enriched the lives of so many.  His ongoing involvement with Belinda’s Place Foundation, Southlake Foundation Board, St John Chrysostom Church,  Newmarket Chamber of Commerce Board, Newmarket Economic Development Advisory Council, and the Newmarket Mayor’s Golf Tournament Committee is a testament to his philanthropic character.
 
It was truly an honour to sponsor and attend this event and cannot express how lucky we are to have so many amazing people like Jim Alexander in our community.  To quote Jim Alexander…”It is hard to pin the award on one person when there are so many amazing individuals who are so dedicated to our community”
 
We will keep tossing back in those star fish Jim because community matters to all of us here at The NewRoads Automotive  Group and beyond!
