Keeping Rodents out of your Vehicle
Most people don’t think of keeping rodents out of their vehicle until they find out one was in it. Rodents can cause hundreds to thousands of dollars in damage, so it’s important that you take the necessary precautions to keep them out of your vehicle before it’s too late.
The easiest way to help ensure you don’t get rodents in your vehicle is to have it stored inside a garage. As long as you don’t have rodent problems in your garage as well, there is a much lower chance of you running into problems compared to parking your car outdoors, especially when it’s cold outside.
Dry sheets and or moth balls can be used to scare away rodents. Remember to spread out the sheets/balls throughout your vehicle to prevent them from coming into both the interior of the car as well as the engine department.
Finally, if you don’t drive your vehicle often, consider covering up the tailpipe when you aren’t driving. Having a dead mouse or rat get stuck in your car’s exhaust system will create a very expensive repair, so its good idea to avoid them from going into the tailpipe.
