On May 6, 2023, history was made with the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. To commemorate this momentous occasion, the King Charles III Coronation Medal was established - the first Canadian commemorative medal ever created to mark a coronation.

This prestigious award celebrates those who have made remarkable contributions to the country, their province, territory, or community - or who have achieved significant accomplishments abroad that reflect positively on Canada.
Who Decides the Recipients?
Medals are awarded through partner organizations carefully selected by the Government of Canada. These partners are responsible for nominating and presenting the medals to eligible individuals.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this prestigious recognition, nominees must have made a significant contribution to Canada, their province, territory, region, or community - or achieved exceptional accomplishments abroad that bring credit to Canada.
