NewRoads gets their Denim On!
On May 14th 2014 NewRoads got their Denim on for their 4th annual Denim Day in support of the Cure Foundation!  Dozens of NewRoads Employee, Friends, Family, Neighbours and Customers made a choice to ditch the suites and heels and make a “fashion statement” by wearing clothes made from the sturdy cotton fabric known as Denim.

Why denim, and what’s the Fashion statement?

Denim is not something many of us have the opportunity to wear to work.  Giving the opportunity to employees to wear jeans to work for a great cause promotes and excellent work environment.  One of the many things I love about working at NewRoads.  We encourage fun in our workplace while supporting our community and its many causes.

This year, nearly 24,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer; approximately 5,000 women will die of the disease. People often forget that breast cancer also has a direct impact on families, friends, and even workplaces. It is therefore important that as many people as possible become informed about the disease, prevention and care.

NATIONAL DENIM DAY is the main source of funding for the CURE Foundation. In addition to raising funds, this grand gesture of solidarity helps to educate the population. The funds raised this year will allow the Foundation to complete each part of its mission: to provide the financial support necessary to create resources that will improve the outcome for those affected by breast cancer.

It is truly amazing when a sturdy cotton fabric known as Denim inspired change.  We are very grateful to everybody in the community who’s continuous support allows us to continue our mission of giving back to the community and helping people find new roads
