How to reduce your vehicle emissions

Whether you’re trying to help the environment or just past an emissions test, lowering the amount of carbon-based emissions coming from your vehicle will only benefit you. Here are some tips for making your car cleaner and more efficient.

One of the best ways to reduce emissions is to use gasoline with a higher octane level. This will keep your car engine cleaner and will create better combustion. However, you can also buy a gasoline additive that will also help to reduce the amount of carbon-based emissions your vehicle is giving off.

By changing both your air filter and oil regularly, you will help to clean out the contaminants that are in your engine. Dirt and carbon build up over time, so changing both regularly will allow fewer carbon-based emissions to be released into the environment.

Lastly, the easiest way to reduce the amount of emissions you release into the environment is to drive less. Carpool or walk when you can and you will be doing your part to make the environment cleaner and healthier.
