Subaru XV Crosstrek | Best Summer Road Trip Small SUV
Road trips are just around the corner with kids finishing school at the end of this month. If you’re looking to purchase or rent a small SUV for the new season, here is a breakdown of three of the most popular SUV’s on the market; the Mazda CX-5, Toyota RAV4 XLE and the Subaru XV Crosstrek.
Going on long road trips means it’s important to choose a vehicle that will cost little on gas. The Subaru XV Crosstrek has the superior fuel efficiency rating for both city and highway driving with ratings of 9.0 and 6.9 L/100 km respectively. The CX-5 came second in fuel economy with the RAV4 last.
Another thing that should be important to you if you’re an avid road tripper is cruising range. With all the time spent on the highway, it’s important you don’t spend a fortune in gas. Yet again, the Crosstrek came first with a cruise range of over 675 kilometres. Both the CX-5 and RAV4 were far behind with cruise ranges of 619 kilometres.
Clearly, the Subaru XV Crosstrek is the perfect vehicle for a family road trip. With a better fuel economy and cruise range, drivers will be able to save on gas and spend more money on the actual trip itself.
