Summer Vehicle Maintenance Tips

Winter is coming to an end soon so it’s important to prepare your vehicle for the warm weather. Here are some summer vehicle maintenance tips.

Tires that are worn or underinflated can be dangerous in the summer heat. The extra temperature can cause added pressure so your tires may actually blow. As a result, it’s important to make sure your tires are at the correct pressure, aligned properly and not worn down.

Ensure there weren’t any leaks in your vehicle that may have occurred over the winter. Also, it is a good idea to change your oil since the low winter temperatures could’ve cause the oil to thicken.

Changing windshield wipers is something many drivers forget to do. Since there is usually a lot of rain in the spring and summer months, it’s important to have wipers that work properly. However, the ice and snow make cracks in the rubber so getting them changed is a necessity.

It’s important to ensure your air conditioning is working since you’ll be in for a long commute otherwise. You can check to see if your air conditioning works by seeing it if it will run 10 degrees Celsius below the outside temperature.
